Decorating a home for Christmas is way more fun than the un-decorating process. I usually put it off until New Years Day, but the mood just hit me today after I got home from a few hours at the office.
As I gathered all the nativity sets together I was captured by the look of all the worshipers in one spot around baby Jesus. Kind of cool, don't you think? ........So I couldn't resist giving my Santas a chance to be close to Jesus too!
Taking down the decorations is kind of like spring cleaning in the winter for me. :)
ReplyDeleteI agree Beth, it all feels fresh & new, though kind of bare at first.
ReplyDeleteSeeing them all clustered together is inspiring. And yes, wrapping around the box counts!
ReplyDeleteI usually put away my Christmas decorations on Jan.1 or Jan. 2. I think it's because it was tradition in my childhood home to keep the tree up to see the new year in. But then, I don't put Christmas decorations or the tree up until the first or second week of December. 3 weeks of having my house out of whack is all I can stand.
ReplyDeleteI wish you and you family a very blessed and prosperous new year!
We are now up at the cottage, so the debris and decor of Christmas will all be waiting for me when we come home!
