My Sis and her husband wanted to send Rocker Son something fun for his Birthday and as a Get Well gift while he was in the hospital and he does not seem like the flower arrangement kind of guy. So they sent this amazing Candy Blast! It is packed full of junk food and goodies. You can't tell in this shot but it is decorated with red confettii.
For some reason it was very slow in arriving, but today he finally came by our house to get it because they would not deliver to the hospital. Today was Rocker Sons first time outside his house without a walker. He got to move up to a cane. But man oh man was it hard to watch my boy walk from the car to our house. You can see that it is very painful and slow but he is determined to keep progressing each day.

Go, Rocker Son, go! Like most Rockers, he seems to be up and at it! Great news, especially given the alternative.
ReplyDeleteAnd the box full of goodies. What a hoot!
Good to see he's home and out of the hospital. He's a tough kid. He'll heal up in no time.
ReplyDeleteThat is progression! Neat...
ReplyDeleteThanks friends. He is a fighter and it is wonderful to not be on the enemy side as we were in his angry teens.
ReplyDeleteThat should encourage some parents in that stage. Ha!
I´m glad he´s up and walking already! That is amazing what they can do (the doctors). Hopefully he´ll be pain free soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, wow. I had to read your previous posts on your son's leg. So great to see he is walking, it must be tough but I hope his recovery goes well. ;-)
ReplyDeletePs. And the candy gram looks amazing!
I have been away from blogging for quite some time. My hubby passed away on Christmas Eve and I just seem to be short on 'blog hoppin' strength. I'm sorry to hear about your Rocker Star son but glad he is healing quickly. Wishing you continued joy!!

ReplyDeleteYou know, he looks great! Those young ones heal fast and it's so good to see him looking so well!
ReplyDeletePoor thing. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised they wouldn't deliver to the hospital.
