Oh Yum, Air!

This is not the most important thing on my mind tonight but I just saw a commercial and I am shaking my head with confusion. Why oh why would you want to eat chocolate kisses with less chocolate in them because they added....wait for it....AIR BUBBLES!  Yah I'm craving some air tonight!!

Rocker Son is healing more quickly than the docs expected. Yay! He was discharged yesterday and is happily moved to the bottom floor of the home he shares with Tattoo Girl in the next town over from us. The move home wore him out a lot and led to a rough first night home, but he is happy today and searching online for a cool looking cane to use. Such a dork!

He is using a walker until he builds up the leg muscle again and learns to walk with a steel rod from hip to thigh. The process is much more painful than any of us thought it would be. I was so thankful that he did not sustain more injuries that I think we downplayed the seriousness of snapping a femur in two. But as usual he sees the positive and is posting on Facebook about being a bionic man now.

I will honestly tell you that my faith has been tested this year. Hubs & I have endured the loss of our jobs and both our mothers in the last 6 months and then when Rocker Son had his motorcycle accident last week, God heard some real questions and wonderings from me.

And guess what? He answered through you guys! Your kind and understanding comments and sweet prayers and good wishes helped me see that I was not alone. Stuff happens and we dust ourselves off and move on to the next thing. Hopefully the next thing will be some good jobs and a healthy family.

Thank you Blog Friends,

  2. Glad Rocker Son is well enough to be home. Sounds like things are moving along in his recovery.
That bit about bearing ones anothers' burdens, and getting by with a little help from our friends — yup, it's all true. Glad it is working for you.
I was thinking. It's been almost a year since Rocker Son and Tattoo Girl got to know each other. It's been an "interesting" year for them, and you.
    Blessings and Bear hugs all.
